Even though our ordinance doesn’t provide for one of these towers as a permitted use (Sec. 4.02 of zoning ordinance), the board members, at their last meeting telegraphed their intention to approve the permit. In order to erect the tower the owner must comply with the provisions of the ordinance that regulates Large Scale Wind Energy Facilities and apply for a Conditional Use Permit for a Large Scale Wind Energy Facility under Section 13 which is a permitted Conditional Use.
